The Yellow Umbrella

“The Yellow Umbrella”
9×12″
Acrylic

This is inspired by the series, “How I Met Your Mother” where the lead actor, Ted Mosby, finds himself trying to work out relationships that are not for him. The yellow umbrella is the sign of his “destined love” that soon finds him at the right time and at the right place, unexpectedly. Often times we look everywhere for love thinking that “this might be the one for me.” We later realize that its been years and years and we still haven’t found the person for us, but what we don’t realize is, “Am I the person right person for someone? Is this the best version that I can be?” We all have a yellow umbrella who’s destined for us, and maybe you’ve already met him/her. Who we are is what we attract. So don’t find the right one, be the right person for someone. And eventually, “You can ask the universe for signs all you want, but ultimately, we only see what we want to see, when we’re ready to see it.” — Ted Mosby”
