How Online Auction Works
Online auctions (limited-time only) are held on Pahiyas Art. Auctions start every Friday and lots will open for bidding at 12 midnight. Artworks included in the bidding close individually at times set by the artist.
A buyer must register at Pahiyas Art and logged in. It is important that you submit a valid and working email (it must also be verified to be yours) so you can receive real-time updates of the bidding activities and other information from our platform.
To place a bid, select any bidding amount greater than or equal to the minimum bid shown, then click the “Bid” button. Your bid will be placed automatically and save the amount you entered. You will receive an email about your bid, or when outbidded by another buyer or won the auction.
If the Reserved Price is not met, the auction is deemed to have failed and the artist is not required to sell the item, even to the highest bidder. The artist may relist the artwork for another auction.
You will receive an email that you have won the auction. To pay, you may choose for any of the following:
a. Click on the link provided in the email, OR
b. Visit the artwork page and click the PAY NOW button.
You will be redirected to the Checkout page where you will enter your billing details and choose your payment option.
1. Shipping and delivery of an artwork won at auction shall be shouldered by the winning bidder.
2. We will inform you of the shipping cost and if agreed, artwork will be shipped immediately.
STARTING BIDS
Your starting or opening bid is the suggested minimum bid for an auction artwork.
INCREMENTAL BIDS
The amount a bid increases is known as the bid increment. Each artwork has their own bid increments set by the artists. You can bid by the next available increment. When someone outbids you, you will receive an email. You can then return to the auction at Pahiyas Art to place a higher bid to stay in the lead.
Ex. Starting bid is Php1000 and bid increment is set at Php 100. The bidder must bid by 1100, next by 1200, 1300, etc.
RESERVED PRICE
A reserve price is a minimum price that an artist would be willing to accept from a buyer. In an auction, the artist is not typically required to disclose the reserve price to potential buyers. If the reserve price is not met, the artist is not required to sell the item, even to the highest bidder. The message “Reserve price has not been met” is shown in the artwork page.
BUY NOW
It the artist offers a Buy Now option, you can purchase that artwork immediately at a price set by the artist. It is shown in the artwork page along with the price.
