“Rainbow Connection” As a young Artist, I see painting not just a hobby or a craft: for me it always opens a new door to me, it gives me hope, it gives me purpose. Each line made, each color played – they always tell a distinct story that comes from my soul, and though sometimes, they are almost abstract in nature, something words can’t describe – but when painted – they always tell a concrete picture, a concrete world. From those simple lines painted, and stories told through pictures, I always discover a safe haven , a source of light. I call this safe haven as my own “Rainbow Connection”, because when I am creating, I feel I’m utmost connected to my creator, to whom I owe this great grace and gift, and during this uncertain times, this creative pursuit has been my certain, which gave me purpose, which allowed me to share hope, light, and love, though shared pieces of work. As long as I am painting, and creating, I know I am serving my creator, and that what’s the best thing that this pursuit taught me is that the pot of gold was never at the end of the rainbow line – it is the “Rainbow Connection” itself – and as long as I am making my Rainbow Connections, the world is my Personal Paradise. “I need this for my soul, doing something I love” -Ms. Dawn Zulueta Lagdameo (2012) “Light and Love, Even Abstracts are Concretes” -Alyssa Marie Malolot, Visual Artist
