Desires and Dreams

“Desires and Dreams” is an acrylic surrealism painting that brings out what will be my desires, dreams, and symbolisms that define who I am. I’ve incorporated symbols like the astronaut, moon, koi fish, and steampunk mouth mask.

I chose the astronaut because it’s my childhood dream; every time I create my artworks, I feel like I’m traveling to a different dimension. On the other hand, the moon keeps on shining even though it is alone in the dark skies. I’ve added the koi because I want everyone to receive luck, especially now we’re struggling to fight the pandemic. Lastly, the steampunk mouth mask represents the older generations’ experience as they warded off previous pandemics or plagues.
