An impressionist oil painting with a bottle as the canvas, this can be used to describe this artist and just one of his many works. He was known, loved and grown up with art, being the son of Lucban’s visual artists Vicente Ladera Nantes. Art in his blood, and he inherited his father’s artistic talent and passion for the arts. Having learned from his father the rudiments of drawing, he studied Industrial Design at the Southern Luzon State University (formerly Southern Luzon Polytechnic College) in Lucban, Quezon to increase his knowledge in terms of arts. An artist in its truest form, he continually re-invents/ innovates himself as his talents and skills are being further enriched by his life experiences. His paintings of his hometown’s scenes, people and culture, particularly the Pahiyas Festival, showcase not only his artist’s artistic ability but also the celebration of life in color.
